We all have people in our lives that we care for. Some of those people it is really easy to love. Others, well, let's just say it makes no sense at all to love them.
It's easy to love those that love us back. The ones who don't return our affection, care or concern can make love difficult.
I say all of that to say this:
LOVE IS A CHOICE!!!!
We don't love folks because they deserve it or because they have earned it somehow. We do it because we choose to look past who they are or what they do & love them anyway.
I'm extremely grateful that Jesus doesn't love me based on my merit. He knew me & how sinful I am & He chose the cross! He chose to love.
Aren't you glad that love is a choice?
Yes, I am!! I am SO unworthy, yet so deeply loved by HIM!!
