On Saturday, November 28th, I, along with close to 30 other people from my church, had the privilege of volunteering at the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Boone.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. They collect and sort shoebox gifts and send them to needy children all over the world.
It was such a blessing to sort and pack these shoeboxes, knowing that our eyes would be the last to see these gifts until a child in Africa recieves it. The greatest blessing however, was knowing that with each shoebox we processed, one more child would hear the lifesaving message of the gospel!!!
In all, around 48,000 shoebox gifts were processed that day alone! That's 48,000 children who's lives may be changed forever upon hearing of God's love through the ultimate Christmas gift, Jesus.
Please join me in prayer for each shoebox sent out this Christmas, as the gospel goes with each one. Pray for each child who will recieve one of these gifts, that their hearts will be open to the message of Jesus and His great love for them. Pray also for the volunteers who will travel all over the world to help deliver these gifts.
