DON'T LOOK BACK!!!

"But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt."

Genesis 19:26

When Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, Lot, along with his wife and daughters, were sent out to be spared.

They were told to FLEE FOR THEIR LIVES and DON'T LOOK BACK!

Sounds a lot like when we become Christians, huh?

We are told repeatedly in scripture to FLEE from sin.

Just like Lot's wife though, we find ourselves looking longingly at the sin we have been delivered from.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to gaze lustfully at sin and move forward with God.

To quote Todd Agnew, we often find ourselves "holding hands with Heaven, while making eyes at hell."

We have been delivered from the former life of sin, so we MUST quit clinging to our past and turn completely away from it.

Jesus is either Lord of ALL or He isn't Lord AT ALL! We cannot keep holding on to pieces of our past, sinful lives.

Our WHOLE lives need to be completely surrendered to Him!

Jesus put it like this:

"No one can serve two masters."

Matthew 6:24
