MISUNDERSTOOD GREATNESS



It's that time of year again. The time when we set a goal or two. What can we do to be better in 2011?

I'm not worried about being better. I want to be great! Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "To be great is to be misunderstood."

What is it that you have resolved to do this year. Whatever it is, DO NOT let your peers or your circumstances talk you out of it. I would encourage you not only to set personal, physical goals, but to set goals of a spiritual nature.

What is it you feel God calling you to do this year? How do you feel He can gain the most glory from your life? Maybe He wants you to FINALLY quit running and trying to live your life for you, and surrender to Him.

Regardless of what it is you feel led to do, do it with passion, do it with all your heart! There will always be naysayers. There will always be critics. There will ALWAYS be people who think they know God's will for your life better than you do. Whether they understand you and what God is calling you to or not, run to win!

Too often, people miss the greatness God is calling them to because they are unwilling to be disciplined in their pursuit of His calling on their lives. Find what He's called and gifted you to do, and diligently serve Him in that pursuit. If people understand it, good. If they don't, that's great!
