CHANGES

When I left home in February with orders to come to Iraq, I thought I had everything figured out. After I get home, I'm going active army, I'll have school paid for, a steady paycheck, and a plethora of other benefits.

Well, as we all know, to quote Oswald Chambers, "God seems to have a delightful way of upsetting the things we have calculated on without taking Him into account."

The plan has changed. After a lot of prayer, fasting, & discussion with other people, God has called me to be part of a new ministry called the R12 project. Basically, I will be a part of a team comprised of people with military & other special training.

The goal, using our skills to get to people who need help, meet their needs, & share with them the life changing story of Jesus.

The other day, as I sat in the office reflecting on how God changed my plan & the uncertainties that come with this new plan, Sergeant Rich chimed in. What he said is something I've known for quite some time but it's never really gotten into my heart.

He said, "Clark, it's amazing how little help God needs from you, huh?" Talk about a shot in the gut.

It's easy to tell others how God will meet THEIR needs, but when it comes to MY needs & MY FAMILY'S needs, worry starts to creep in.

God is a big boy. He knows the plans He has for my life & He has always been faithful to care for me (& my family). WHAT REASON DO I HAVE TO DOUBT HIM?

Ephesians 3:20 & 21 has always been a favorite of mine. Being reminded that God doesn't need my help has made me appreciate it so much more.

Please join me in prayer for the R12 project & stay tuned for more info on this exciting move of God!

This week you will meet my close friend & ministry partner James Vance, as well as learn more about the R12 project!
