I SURRENDER ALL?

Tonight at chapel service we sang "I Surrender All". I have liked this song for some time now, the lyrics are so powerful! The first stanza says:

All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give
I will ever love and trust Him
In His presence daily live

I saw a t-shirt several years ago that said, "the song doesn't say 'I Surrender SOME'"! Sadly, there is a large number of Christians who live in such a way that affirms this idea.

My friend Clayton King has said, and I have repeated many times, "Jesus is Lord OF ALL or He isn't Lord AT ALL"! His desire is that we surrender every area of our lives to Him.

The song says ALL to Jesus and in light of ALL He has accomplished, He deserves nothing less than our all. He gave His ALL for us, how dare we give Him anything less?

Only when we are living in His presence, in an intimate relationship with Him, can we accomplish this. Even on our best day, our lives fall short but through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do all for Jesus and for His glory!

Surrender ALL to Jesus today! You may not get the chance tomorrow.
