GO GOD AND GO GAURD!!!

Welp, last Thursday (01 December 2005) I became serious about my decision to join the North Carolina Army National Guard (NCARNG). I have tossed the idea around for some time now and finally chose to go for it. This is a major decision and a huge step towards my future and I am sooooooo excited to see what God has in store for me. I leave tomorrow (08 December 2005) for Charlotte to take the ASVAB and tie up some loose ends so it will be "official".

I have wanted to be a soldier my whole life. My grandpa was in the Army and I never got to meet him. He died in a house fire in March of '86 and I was born in October of '87. I've always seen pictures of him in uniform and a sense of pride seems to rush over me everytime I see them. On August 8th, 2004 I accepted God's call on my life to ministry (come to find out, thats the same day Reverend Hale accepted the call too!). Sense I am called to ministry, I think it is really cool how the Bible tells us to endure suffering as a good SOLDIER in Christ (2 timothy 1-7). Please lift me up in prayer that I succeed in doing that.

I am a soldier in the army of the Lord and soon to be an American Soldier. GO GOD AND GO GUARD!!! HOOAH!
