Know Your Enemy

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NIV)

Last week I posted about why we are here. If you missed it, you can go HERE to catch up.

As we seek to know God & make Him known, we do have an enemy.  His objective is to keep both of those from happening.

If he can shift our attention from know God, he renders us ineffective in making know.

Remember, the enemy we face is already defeated. Do not allow him to hinder you.

Darlene Deibler Rose encourages us to "remember that we face a defeated foe, undone by Calvary."

What Jesus accomplished through His death & resurrection gives us victory over our enemy.  

Will he pester us?  Yep.  

Will he try to distract us in attempt to cause us to be ineffective?  Sure.

Will he stop us from knowing our God & making Him known?

Only if we allow him to.
